We are a General Branch covering a range of employment sectors.

We provide advice, support and representation as well as organising campaigns and negotiating to improve and protect our members pay and terms and conditions of employment.

Anyone in employment has a legal right to be a member of a trade union and to be represented by GMB.

Our Branch membership is diverse and is well represented on both local and National Equality Forums.

As well as supporting our members in the workplace we are committed to supporting our communities and in particular we support local sports teams ranging from Hednesford F C a non League football team to North Birmingham Celtic under 13’s girls football team based in Moor Lane, Birmingham. Internationally we support emerging Unions in parts of the World where employment conditions and wages are reminiscent of 19th Century Britain. In particular we have provided moral support by visiting Banana link in Costa Rica as well as providing financial support for the workers there.
